HAPPY MONDAY: BALANCE
I often get asked what I do for work, if I only blog, what my other gig is like etc. I don’t always share because it has been important to me to keep both worlds as separate as possible. What I can say is that I love my other job immensely and find it really fulfilling. However, because I do have this other job, sometimes it’s a little difficult shifting gears. It can get quite busy and when I come home, I don’t always have the energy to give the blog my all. I think I’ve done a pretty good job balancing the two, but I do fall short some times, (for example this delayed post).
It’s tricky to make promises on here, that I’ll be more consistent or that I’ll keep a schedule because while well-intentioned, it’s not always possible. I’m so grateful that you guys have stuck around with me, that you have enabled me to work with such amazing partners and on such interesting brand collabs- I do not take any of that for granted.
I also love that in doing this, I have been privy to the immense strength and dedication of so may women out there. Juggling much more than I am, from families, to day jobs, to side hustles or even full on businesses. More power to all those who manage to squeeze a 36 hour day into a 24 hour day. I admire and am inspired by them.
I wish I could share more at this time, but there’s a cool trip coming very soon and I hope you stay tuned cos it’s definitely going to be quite different from any other trip I’ve taken in the past or shared on this blog so far. I’m excited and NERVOUS.
It’s already mid-week and I always mean this when I say it- here’s to a happy week. Make sure you fill it with things that make you happy. Do not simply go through the motions, do not let what is going on in the world frustrate you, instead let it inspire and motivate you to action.
UPDATE: My final edit from early this morning didn’t save- talk about balance – pardon the error- I’ll have to update tonight.
