Dear Lace,

I have no real problem with you. In fact I think you can be glamorous and lovely. You can be charming and elegant. But try as I may, whenever I see you, I just want to run in the other direction.  I mean, I have learned to appreciate you on other people, I have seen outfits in magazines that seem plenty appealing and youthful and modern, but for some reason, its just never going to be me. Maybe it's my mum's fault for making me think lace was only for births, weddings and funerals.

But that can be no more- I have started looking at a few different ways to incorporate you into my wardrobe. It may never be a complete lace dress or top, but I am trying, I really am, and dear lace, I hope you can be proud of me, for doing just that.
