BEAUTY QUEST

I've always had an Amazon wish-list and some of my family and friends have been very good about checking it out before getting me anything. In the past few, I stopped really taking stock of what was there or not on there. That is, until my cousin, my partner in crime texted me to find out if she could use it as a reference for Xmas gifts for me. I logged on and it struck me that somehow when I wasn't paying attention I had been adding skincare product after skincare product to my wish-list. I remember when my list used to filled with Dvd's, CD's and books (blame Netflix, Spotify and my Ipad for changing that).

Also, I guess I'm at that stage in my life where I recognize it's important to take care of my skin and maybe invest in some good products but I'm still holding on to my old habits and haven't quite made the jump. I also go through phases where I only want to use natural, at home products such as honey for cleansing my face or yogurt face masks. I still think the best toner I ever used is the one I made using witchhazel and tea tree oil (there were additional ingredients) but I've been much too lazy to whip up again. Of course, there was also that one time I read Vitamin E was the best thing for one's face and after dousing my face in it for a good week, I ended up with clogged pores and more acne. Trial and error I tell ya.

Long story short, unlike my hair where at the moment, I'm pretty much resolved to a regimen and products that work for me, I'm still searching when it comes to skincare, more specifically, what I put on my face; from makeup to face creams.

I would always recommend Sephora for anyone trying out new skincare as they have the best return policy. My girlfriend was able to return some expensive face product without even having a receipt. Drugstores like Rite Aid and Duane Reade also now have good return policies. I just returned a $2 not my shade pink lipstick the other day easy peasy. Read below to see why each of above made my beauty quest list.
