HAPPY MONDAY: HUMAN

I have had a lot of trouble smiling over the past few- there has been so much that has happened as a result of our new president, so much that has frustrated me, angered me, saddened me. Then I am reminded as I watch the news why this country is still so great despite the efforts of those who want to change her. I have seen people of every color and creed protesting, marching, petitioning, providing legal services, supporting each other. There’s so many ways to stand up to hate and small mindedness and we all must o our part even if it’s just talking to neighbors or signing a petition. I participated in the women’s march last week and it felt so good to stand side by side with my NYC brothers and sisters, to make sure the world sees and hears that there are so many who want America to remain a beacon of hope for all peoples of the world.
