This 19 year old Kurdish Dutch lady is making moves in an industry that her parents originally wanted her to have nothing with."I'm a Middle Eastern girl, so the idea of doing music was just completely unacceptable," she recalls bluntly. "They saw it as a world of predatory men, a world of sexual music videos and drugs. The way they saw it was: if you become an artist, you're just going to end up an alcoholic who sleeps with everyone."Happy she pushed against all that to bring us some good music.
