YOU OUGHTA KNOW: ZAIME

Making it in fashion is no easy feat. we've heard of big fashion designers closing shop or struggling to get funding. It's also a specifically tough space for women and women of color especially. So when I get a chance to discover a new designer that should be getting the spotlight, I try to do my small bit to spread the word.

ZAIME, born in Harlem and made in NYC, is a reflection of Creative Director Zapora Williams’ lifestyle and values, and a response to greater cultural issues. Dedicated to the belief that mindful women deserve mindful fashion, Zapora, through the lens of ZAIME, works to prove that stylish, functional and luxurious clothing can, and should, be responsibly sourced and manufactured.
